In order to conserve long centuries practice of Subak farming despite Bali massive development due to millions of tourists who head Bali each year; Sawah Bali is a non-profit organisation who is actually doing big thing to help farmers by introducing a modelled program to return to organic methods for growing rice. They facilitate workshop and training for farmers, show them sustained technics to grow rice that has provides a nutritionally higher diet without harmful and toxic chemicals. The agro-tourism program has a homestay for volunteers. That’s a great opportunity to go visit them and why not spending a day or two helping balinese and understand how cool and important is to preserve farming. We can cook for our skin and found home remedies that is fun to make – make your skin naturally glow and look younger.

I took a class at Angelo Shop in Ubud to try new things. Like natural body scrub, body oil, foaming cream after sun burn.

It is really like a cooking class, handmade your products with love and i believe things works better with the best intentions you put in it!

Plan Bee in Bali

Since i decided to be more aware of my foot print while i am travelling, i am trying to do some activities during free time to prevent pollution of any kind, reducing water waste, disturbance… And last week, i met the organisers of an amazing initiative in Bali, about Plan Bee at the International School in Sanur. We discussed about their projects and how bringing more awareness regarding the disappearance of bees in Indonesia, which are certainly a very significant link in our food chain; along with other pollinating insects they play a crucial role in biodiversity, agriculture and ultimately food security.
