How to wake up?

It seems so simple for some people, and absolutely ignored by others, but having a morning routine, or practice – you can called it as you want – is essential to program yourself and stay centered.

Some will do exercise, yoga, running…. a physical activity to start the day. The energy and vitality you get from exercise is a great thing to do in the morning as it keeps you energized for the entire rest of your day.

Others will fix a plan for the day, schedule things and then having time to relax, walk.

But at the end, it’s all about having a ritual morning. Doesn’t matter what you do but it has to be your rite, something who suits you.

Rituals is everywhere from history, to religion, to culture, we all see people putting some intentions in their actions to start a day and feel centered by doing it.

I usually wake up, trying to not paying intention to my phone first and go to my mat for a yoga practice, then meditate a bit, and since i am in Bali, I also do offerings to the Earth and feel grateful everyday to be here. Also having some personal ceremony at home, for special moon, special mood. Celebrate life in general and his cycle.

All of this is leading you to discover more about your creativity, maybe start writing about things you love and you want to do on the morning, and discover yourself. The peace and quiet of the morning is unparalleled, so it’s a great time to work on anything you want or need to do.

And then, it’s also another world who will come to you, receiving more values for you and a desire for sharing it.

If allowing one hour before going to work is not possible, just a 20min routine is fine. One thing is keep having it – change it if you want to – as one day is always different from another. Just feel what you need to send before going to your daily activity.

Example :

Drinking hot lemon water one hour before breakfast

Cleaning nasal passage before meditation

Stretch, exercise, dance, do yoga… whatever who can circulate oxygen in your body and brain

Write your first motivation and goal of the day

Release bad tensions, thoughts or energies you don’t need anymore, send it back

DON’T MAKE EXCUSES, MAKE IMPROVEMENTS

Since i am now living in Bali, i am way more concern about environment issues – the way i live, the way i think, the way i act –  always with conscious about the impact it causes around me. Can be even with my relation with people and friends.

All you do has an impact on each others… Just watch your action and the all process if you need to remember sometimes.

Anyway, all of this, to show a different way to consume in general

Good example FOOD INDUSTRY : as everybody now is on Veggan diet, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Soy Free, Sugar Free, and whatever new will arrive soon – for me its great because people understand about eating only fresh organic food… It’s wonderful, the step forward about this industry compare to 10 years only – is getting better and people find solution to offer better products and agricole solution to stop wasting water and destroying soil with chemicals. I love it!

Even NYC now has farms on the top of building to grow local veggies. How cool it that ?

I decided to follow the movement with Fashion.

Maybe we should talk more about what is Ethical Fashion, it seems so far in people mind the understanding about the all Fashion Industry, and massive production cannot be sustainable in many ways.

What about to stop buying so much fast fashion and build a more ethical closet? Well, since one year, i only bought clothes from second hand stores, custom them, buying organic fabric, make my own clothes and I still look good and never received so much compliments when i go out.

Most ethical brands are simply not as well-known and accessible as their « fast » counterparts, at least not yet! This post is my contribution to change that and give you a new set of brands to add to your go-to shopping and maybe inspire you to create your own 🙂

Yes, sustainable fashion is more expensive than fast fashion and instead of buying five new things a month you may only be able to afford one piece. But: That’s actually a good thing. Not being able to afford as much will help you be more selective and over time you’ll build up a high-quality wardrobe that will last you for years to come.

 

 

 

Can you asian squat?

Recently I have been into the most unflexible part of my body – the HIPS. From one minute to 15min per day.

Spending 2 years in Hong Kong, people there squat like its such a chilling pose to spend some time with friends in the street. Which is a torture after less than one minute for any westerners. So i try to do it more often and see how it feels – well its a very good exercice to release tension – but you still look shit doing it.

This exercice is great for balancing the root chakras and break the cycle of emotional repression like fear for my case.

I found more than benefic to heal my 5th chakras, as i was always holding a mask and my voice was not coming from my heart as I could not express myself from my center. Here is some very very good tip to balance the Vishuddha chakras on a daily basic of course!!! I insist on doing this everyday for months !!  But then the results are impressive and the voice will resonate not anymore by the influence of the society we are living into but by YOU.
